25-Foot Mural Inspired by the Holy Spirit

A hand-painted tribute to faith, light, and inspiration at Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School.

Role: Mural Artist (Volunteer project)

With the help of my family, I painted a 25-foot mural during Lent of 2020 to give back to the community and in service to God. The mural was requested by a Carmelite sister from the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles, who serve as spiritual and educational leaders at the high school. I was entrusted with full creative autonomy, concepting, designing, and executing the piece from start to finish.

Inspired by Bernini’s Dove of the Holy Spirit stained glass from St. Peter’s Basilica, the mural is a painted interpretation meant to fill the space with light, peace, and divine presence.

Located in the school hallway directly across from the chapel, the mural welcomes students, faculty, and staff as they enter and exit the sacred space, serving as a daily source of prayerful reflection, hope, and inspiration.

Below are photos of the mural process, from the initial layout and sketching phase to the final, full-color completion, showing the progression of the artwork as it came to life.
