centennial campaign LOGO DESIGN
I designed the logo for the Centennial Campaign at The Church of the Little Flower and St. Theresa School with the goal of honoring 100 years of faith, service, and community. Central to the design is a rose, chosen as a symbol of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the church’s patron saint, often referred to as “The Little Flower.” The rose not only represents her spiritual presence and legacy, but also evokes beauty, grace, and devotion, qualities deeply embedded in the identity of the parish and its members.
For stylistic inspiration, I looked to the iconic Pasadena Rose Bowl logo, clean, elegant, and uplifting. I wanted to capture that same sense of vitality and timelessness, creating a mark that would resonate with the parish’s devoted Catholic community, many of whom have been part of the church family for generations.
In collaboration with my client, we chose the tagline “Building On Our Legacy” to underscore the campaign’s mission of restoration and growth. This phrase was incorporated into the logo itself, reinforcing the call to action and encouraging parishioners to contribute to the future of the church and school.
The color red was selected as the primary hue, not only echoing the natural color of a rose, but also symbolizing love, sacrifice, and the blood of Christ. It’s a powerful and emotional color that speaks directly to the heart of the Catholic faith.
The rose gracefully intertwines with the number “100,” a visual metaphor for how love, faith, and tradition are at the very heart of the church’s century-long legacy. The bold presence of “100” proudly celebrates this remarkable milestone, inspiring parishioners and donors alike to be part of the next chapter in its story.
