Role: Mural Artist (Volunteer projects)
As a way to serve God and offer something special to the community, I completed this mural as a volunteer project requested by Sister Immaculata, whose encouragement and vision guided the work from the beginning. I was entrusted with bringing her idea of a landscape painting, rooted in a biblical verse about nature, to life.
The mural is inspired by the words of Psalm 121, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains. From where shall come my help? My help comes from the Lord who made Heaven and earth.” It serves as a visual reminder that no matter where we find ourselves, God remains our constant source of strength and hope. The finished piece is meant to lift the viewer’s gaze toward Him, offering a message of trust, comfort, and unwavering divine help. All glory to Him.

With the help of my family, I painted a 25-foot mural during Lent of 2020 to give back to the community and serve God. The mural was requested by a Carmelite sister from the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles, who served as spiritual and educational leaders at the high school. I was entrusted with coming up with the concept and painting the mural from start to finish. Inspired by Bernini’s Dove of the Holy Spirit stained glass from St. Peter’s Basilica, the mural is a painted interpretation meant to fill the space with faith, hope, and light.
